Anna Getaneh is the founder and creative spirit behind African Mosaique. As an acclaimed international super-model she has been featured in most of the world’s leading fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Amina.

Anna has hosted numerous events such as the Soul Train, BBC documentary “African Footsteps,” the KORA All Africa Music Awards and Miss Malaika Beauty Pageant in South Africa to name a few.

A fashion-cultural enthusiast and humanitarian, her vision is focused on three elements: sourcing, manufacturing and developing talent in Africa. Having lived in Johannesburg for some time, Anna recently moved to Ethiopia to start the African Mosaique Design and Fashion Centre where she continues to design, promote and provide mentorship.

During her years in South Africa Anna owned a store in the fashionable 44 Stanley Centre in Milpark, where she showcased designers from all over Africa as well as her own creations. This pop-up shop has become an annual event where African Mosaique (AM) can continue having a presence in South Africa, providing AM followers with an opportunity to experience and purchase items from Anna’s latest collection. Which are ethically sourced. She will also be collaborating with Shaldon Kopman the creative Director of NAKED APE on numerous fashion projects.

African Mosaique remains inspired by the diverse and rich culture of Africa, which results in timeless, classic items of clothing and accessories featuring an array of natural Ethiopian woven fabrics.

The collaboration with Seringa Living Gallery is a natural fit, as there is so much synergy between the two brands. Virginia Greenwell, the founder of Seringa, uses traditional Masai symbols, Kitenge fabric and traditional Kenyan beadwork to produce beautiful belts, bags, jewellery and sandals. The setting of thepop-up shop at the PUDDING SHOP is well suited to the essence of both brands.
